ANTIVIRUS PLUS – INTERNET SECURITY AND TOTAL SECURITY

(32 AND 64 BIT)

You always download the latest releases of BitDefender 2012 products
because their links are those from BitDefender’s website.

BITDEFENDER 2012 – REGISTRATION WITHOUT A LICENSE KEY:

There are two possible registration procedures without a genuine license key:

(I) THE ACTIVATOR BY LIQENSOFT 1.5.5: The activator registers all BitDefender 2012 products (Antivirus Plus, Internet Security or Total Security) until the date you choose and further enables online updates and/or upgrades. Scroll down this page to find under this same caption, the download links for the activator and the relevant instructions.

(II) THE PATCH BY BOX 3.1: The patch registers all BitDefender 2012 products (Antivirus Plus, Internet Security or Total Security) until year 2045 but it does not enable online updates which have to be carried out by means of the weekly offline updates. Scroll down this page to find under this same caption, the download links for the patch and the relevant instructions.

Therefore, it is obvious that the ACTIVATOR BY LIQENSOFT 1.5.5 is the recommended alternative to be chosen while THE PATCH BY BOX 3.1 is just maintained for record purposes.

Members who would like to install BitDefender Antivirus Plus 2012, BitDefender Internet Security 2012 or BitDefender Total Security 2012 with a working License Key instead of using the Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5 or the Patch by BOX 3.1, have to request it through this post clearly indicating for which of said products it is required. I will revert to each member through this thread advising him the outcome of the request. In all cases, the License Key will be sent via PM. Members are entitled to request only one license key (BDAVP, BDIS or BDTS) subject to the conditions stated in the following paragraph.

This is not a giveaway post. Therefore, not all members are qualified to receive a License Key. Said circumstance will depend on many factors, such as but not limited to member’s seniority (minimum 90 days), member’s contribution to the forum (minimum 20 posts), etc., either combined or not. Furthermore, since License Keys are really scarce, they will not be spared for testing purposes.

Available keys are expiring as follows:
Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2012:         September 19, 2012
BitDefender Internet Security 2012:   January 04, 2013
BitDefender Total Security 2012:        90 days trial keys only (without guarantee)

Alternatively to the above links for the Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5, I had to make use of steganography to conceal the “Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5” within an image to have a permanent source wherefrom the activator can be freely and quickly downloaded, since many Filehosting providers have lately introduced new requirements (user name and password) to have access to and download files or they are frequently deleting them.

Image

Download the “Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5” by simply saving the BitDefender Dragon image shown immediately above (“48458921187333048006.jpg”). To do so right click it => “Save picture as…” browse to your desktop and save it there as “Activator.jpg”. Then go to the desktop and right click the saved image => click “Open with ►” click “WinRAR archiver” from the list and after WinRAR opens the file, extract “liQeNSoft_Bitdefender_activator.exe” (the activator) to the desktop.

For safety sake and for a guaranteed working effectiveness, the original and untouched Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5 (“liQeNSoft_Bitdefender_activator.exe”) has the following CRC32 file hash: 8ACA6423 and corresponds to this pic:

Arrow BitDefender 2012 – Brief Instructions: Installation and Activation (LIQENSOFT ACTIVATOR):
(**Important**: These instructions are not applicable when you install BitDefender 2012 with a genuine license key)

Quote:
Idea Check this first if you intend to register BitDefender 2012 using the Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5:

Restart your PC in Windows Safe Mode with Networking and check if you can connect to the Internet. To this end, open your web browser (IE, FF, GC, etc.) and if you can surf the web normally then you will be able to run the Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5.

Otherwise, please contact me through this thread.

Quote:
Idea To start your PC in Windows Safe Mode with Networking you should proceed as follows:

Quote:
=> When the BIOS post is running just when you turn on the PC, start taping the F8 key repeatedly (depending on the motherboard you may need to tap other “Function key”) and in the black screen which appears select “Windows Safe Mode with Networking” using the appropriate arrow key and then press “Enter”.

If you cannot succeed in starting the PC in such way, then proceed as follows:

=> Being in Windows Normal Mode, click the Start orb => “All Programs” => “Accessories” => “Run” => type “msconfig” and click “OK” => The “System Configuration” window will open (provided that you have administrator’s privileges) and click the “Boot” tab => In the “Boot Options” area, tick “Safe boot” => then “Minimal” will appear selected by default but change it by ticking the “Network” radio button), then click “OK” and restart the PC.

After carrying out the relevant testing in said mode: i.e.: to check if you have Internet connectivity and you can surf the web normally, you have to run again “msconfig” and click the “Boot” tab => In the “Boot Options” area, untick “Safe boot”, then click “OK” to revert to the original booting configuration: Windows Normal Mode.

Quote:
Idea BitDefender 2012 Installation & Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5:

1) Download the chosen BitDefender 2012 product (Antivirus Plus, Internet Security or Total Security) which is suitable for your OS (32 or 64bit) from the appropriate direct links shown above.

2) Download in the desktop the Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5 (liQeNSoft_Bitdefender_activator.exe) from any of the links shown above.

3) If you had BitDefender 2012 or any other version of BitDefender previously patched or run the activator, don’t forget to uninstall the patch or to disable the activator the before installing BitDefender 2012.

4) Install BitDefender 2012 in trial (evaluation) mode. Do not update BitDefender 2012 during installation to expedite the process. Don’t forget to use a real email during installation because you will make use of it during the activation procedure. Furthermore and depending on certain circumstances, you may receive a link in said email account from BitDefender which you have to open to create an account with BitDefender.

5) Once BitDefender installation is finished, restart the PC in Windows Safe Mode with Networking because the Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5 shall need to gain access to the Internet.

6) Once in Windows Safe Mode with Networking, double click the downloaded activator (“liQeNSoft_Bitdefender_activator.exe”) which is located in the desktop and follow the on-screen instructions:

Quote:
a) A tiny green window pops up where you shoud choose “English” => OK.

b) In the Liqensoft Activator GUI which appears and shows on its bottom left corner the current validity period of your BitDefender 2012, click the “Activate!” button.

c) In the following window, you have to sign in your BitDefender account if you already have one or if you do not, then you will have to create it and save it. Use the same email account that you have typed in during BitDefender installation as per 4) above.

d) Once you are logged in your BitDefender account press “Continue …”

e) A tiny green window appears where you have to set the date until when you wish to have your BitDefender activated and then click the “Activate” button.

f) The Liqensoft Activator GUI appears again showing now on its bottom left corner the validity period of your BitDefender 2012 that you have set as per e) above.

g) Close Liqensoft Activator by clicking the “X”.

7) Restart the PC in Windows Normal Mode and update your BitDefender 2012 normally.

NOTE 1: If any of the different windows which will appear while running the Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5. are not well shown in your monitor, it is recommended to adjust the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 (Right click on an empty space in your desktop => Screen Resolution => Set it to 1024 x 768 => OK)

NOTE 2: If for any reason whatsoever, you want or need to revert your BitDefender 2012 to trial mode, then follow Steps 5 through 6b) above but in this case click the “Disable” button in the Liqensoft Activator GUI and then restart the PC in Windows Normal Mode.

For members’ peace of mind and assurance that the Activator by Liqensoft is working flawlessly, I am attaching hereunder a snapshot taken from my BitDefender Total Security 2012 which was activated by the Activator by Liqensoft 1.5.5 on April 08, 2012:

Image

The above pic is clearly showing:

Quote:
1) A BDTS 2012 registration period of about 1100 days. I have chosen to activate my BDTS 2012 for three years. You can set the validity period you may wish.

2) BDTS 2012 is updating online.

or

http://rapidshare.com/files/457094837/Box_BD2011_3.1.rar

Alternatively to the above links for the Patch by BOX 3.1, I had to make use of steganography to conceal the “Patch by BOX 3.1” within an image to have a permanent source wherefrom the patch can be freely and quickly downloaded, since many Filehosting providers have lately introduced new requirements (user name and password) to have access to and download files or they are frequently deleting them.

Image

Download the “Patch by BOX 3.1” by simply saving the BitDefender icon image shown immediately above (“19446179012041367443.jpg”). To do so right click it => “Save picture as…” browse and save it in your “Desktop” or anywhere else. Then navigate to the folder or place where you saved the image and right click it => click “Open with ►” click “WinRAR archiver” from the list and after WinRAR opens the file, extract the patch (“Box_BD2011.exe”) to the “Desktop” or anywhere else.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Though the Patch by BOX 3.1 makes reference to BitDefender 2011, the Patch by BOX 3.1 is fully compatible with and successfully “registers” all BitDefender 2012 Security products although it doesn’t enable online updates. However the patch by BOX 3.1 can be used in combination with the “weekly offline updates” which is tackled under the caption: “BitDefender 2012 – Brief Instructions: Installation, Patching (PATCH by BOX) and Offline Updating” herebelow.

Arrow BitDefender 2012 – Brief Instructions: Installation, Patching (PATCH by BOX) and Offline Updating:
(**Important**: These instructions are not applicable when you install BitDefender 2012 with a genuine license key)

Quote:
1) Uninstall from the PC any Antivirus or Security Suite or any previous BitDefender version and restart the PC. If you had BitDefender 2011 or 2012 “registered” with the patch by BOX 3.1, don’t forget to uninstall the patch first.

2) Download the chosen BitDefender 2012 security product installer only from the appropriate BitDefender direct links furnished above.

3) Since some problems with the installation process of BitDefender 2012 have been experienced, please check that no devices are connected to the USB ports of the PC (mainly pendrives or external USB HDDs) and do not run any application, program or game while installing BitDefender.

4) To expedite the installation process, it is recommended to disconnect the PC from Internet and begin installation by executing the downloaded installer with administration privileges.

5) During installation process, choose “I want to evaluate this product” and enter a fake e-mail (always observe e-mail format standard).

6) Restart the PC if you are asked to do so (normally this occurs when malware is found while the PC is scanned by BitDefender during installation).

7) Renable Internet connection and update BitDefender.

8) Download the Patch by BOX 3.1 (“Box_BD2011_3.1.rar”) from any of the above furnished links or from the furnished image to the Desktop. However, if BitDefender 2012 doesn’ t allow you to download the Patch by BOX 3.1 or deletes the executable when you try to extract it from the compressed file you have downloaded, proceed as follows:

Quote:
Disable BitDefender 2012 Real-Time protection: Click “Settings” and then click the following tabs => Antivirus => OnAccess scanning (switch it “OFF”) and select your required time from the popup window, and and also switch “Active Virus Control” to “OFF”, if it ON, and then download the Patch by BOX 3.1.

9) Restart the PC in Windows Safe Mode (when the BIOS post ends, start taping the F8 key repeatedly). If you cannot succeed to start the PC in Safe Mode by taping the F8 key, then proceed as follows:

Quote:
Click the Start orb => “All Programs” => “Accessories” => “Run” => type “msconfig” and click “OK” => The “System Configuration” window will open (provided that you have administrator’s privileges) and click the “Boot” tab => In the “Boot Options” area, tick “Safe boot” (“Minimal” will appear selected by default), then click “OK” and restart the PC (NB: After patching BitDefender when you restart the PC, msconfig startup settings will revert automatically to their original configuration: Windows Normal Mode).

10) Once in Safe Mode, extract to the Desktop the file “Box_BD2011.exe” from the downloaded compressed file which contains the patch by BOX 3.1.

11) Right click “Box_BD2011.exe” and run it with Administrator’s privileges and click the “Year 2045” button. Then wait until you are advised that the patching process has finished successfully.

12) Now restart the PC in Windows Normal Mode and your BitDefender will be registered for more than 12000 days.
However, it is worth pointing out that after the patch by BOX 3.1 has been applied, you will not be able to update BitDefender online any more. Therefore do not care if BitDefender tells you that “to benefit from signature updates after 30 days since the installation, you must configure a Btdefender account!”. This is due to the fact that by end October 2011, BitDefender developers have partially neutralised the effects of the patch by BOX 3.1 on any BitDefender 2012 security product as from Build 15.0.33.1409.

13) BitDefender issues weekly offline updates every Friday, which includes all the virus definitions and scan engines updates that are available up to the release date (every Friday). Weekly offline updates are cumulative, that is to say, that each of them include all previous weekly updates up to the date when they have been released. That’s why the size of said updates is abt 130MB. Therefore, the first Friday after BitDefender installation, download the appropriate weekly update from:

Quote:
a) For 32bit operating systems:

Code:
http://download.bitdefender.com/updates/bitdefender_2012/x86/weekly.exe

b) For 64bit operating systems:

Code:
http://download.bitdefender.com/updates/bitdefender_2012/x64/weekly.exe

and save it locally on your hard disk.
Offline updates for older BitDefender releases can be found at:

Code:
http://www.bitdefender.com/site/view/Desktop-Products-Updates.html

14) Before installing the downloaded weekly update proceed as follows:

Quote:
A) Check the hash file (CRC32 or MD5) of the downloaded weekly update and compare it with the one of the previous week. Needless to say that said comparison will be done on the ocassion of the second and subsequent weekly updates. They should be different. Otherwise do not install it because it is the same update already applied. Then, try to download it again within a couple of hours until the hash file of the weekly update be different from the one of the previous week. To that end, I recommend to use the tiny freeware tool “HashMyFiles” which can be downloadled from:

Code:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/hash_my_files.html

B) Take note of your BitDefender Virus signature number and its Engine Version number. To do this:

Quote:
Right click the BD icon in the system tray => click “About” and you will get them in the small window that pops-up.

15) Double-click the downloaded “weekly.exe” file to start the setup wizard. Click Next to begin the installation process. Check I accept the terms in the License Agreement and click Next. Click Install to begin installing. Click Finish to close the installation wizard.

16) To determine if the update process as per Step 15 was successfully achieved , check again BitDefender Virus signature number and its Engine Version number to determine if they have been changed to newer/higher versions.

17) Steps 13 to 16, both inclusive, have to be repeated on each Friday.

18) BitDefender version/build shall always remain the same (right click the BD icon in the system tray => click “About” and you will get them in the small window that pops-up). You can only upgrade BitDefender 2012 at any time by uninstalling your current product and reinstalling a new BitDefender 2012 version/build which you can always download from the appropriate links which are shown on this Page 1. Don’t forget to uninstall the Patch by BOX 3.1 as well before reinstalling BitDefender 2012. It goes without saying that for reinstalling BitDefender 2012 you have to follow again all the above described steps.

1) BitDefender 2011 products require a medium to powerful PC to run smoothly. Therefore, the Minimal system requirements are the following:

Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP SP3 (SP2 for x64), Vista (SP1), Microsoft Windows 7
Available free hard disk space: 1 GB free space
CPU: 800MHz processor
Memory (RAM):
512 MB (Microsoft Windows XP)
1 GB (Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7)
Software Requirements:
.Net Framework 2.0 or above

2) Choose the suitable BitDefender 2011 product which is compatible with your Operative System, i.e.: BitDefender 32 bit for 32 bit Operative Systems or BitDefender 64 bit for 64 bit Operative Systems.

3) Have the appropriate NET.Framework which is suitable for your Operative System installed in your PC before installing BitDefender 2011. This is required to run the patch by BOX 3.1. If you want to determine that the appropriate NET.Framework is already installed in your PC, Go to Control Panel => Add or remove programs => Check there which NET.Framework you have installed. After installing NET.Framework restart your PC.

4) You cannot have two antiviruses (AV) installed at the same time. So if you are going to install a BitDefender 2011 product you must uninstall the AV you currently have, including old BitDefender versions or any BitDefender 2011 which you may have installed and found it is not working due to the fact that you have applied a different registration procedure from the one described in this post (search for and delete any traces of BitDefender and Softwin in your HDD and in your Windows registry). It isn’t enough to disable the current antivirus because there could be AV services running in the background which could impair the correct installation and future performance of the new BitDefender. After uninstalling the old AV, restart your PC.

5) Same happens with firewalls. You cannot have two firewalls running at the same time because one would conflict with the other. Therefore, Windows Firewall must be disabled. After disabling it, restart your PC or in case of BitDefender Internet Security or Total Security, let BitDefender do it for you (tick the corresponding box when installing it). If you are going to install BitDefender Antivirus 2011 after its installation, patching and first update, it is recommended to re-enable Windows Firewall and adjust its settings to allow BitDefender to go into the net to perform futures updates.

6) Uninstall any other third party software which may conflict with the future services to be rendered by BitDefender (firewall, antispyware, antispam, etc.). After uninstalling such software, restart your PC.

7) Windows Defender (Microsoft AntiSpyware) can be kept running.

8) In case of Windows Vista and Windows 7, disable User Account Control (UAC). After disabling UAC, restart your PC.

9) After having made the above adjustments but before installing the chosen BitDefender 2011 product, don’t forget to create a restoration point which can be useful in case anything may go wrong with BitDefender installation and/or its future operation. Naturally that you must have the appropriate tool for restoring: the ERD Commander Boot CD version which has to be compatible with your Operative System. If you are running Windows XP SP2 or SP3 you may alternatively use Hiren’s Boot CD 10.4 and then invoke ERD Commander from it. FYI Hiren’s Boot CD 10.4 was the last version which included ERD Commander (not ERD Commander Explorer).

Arrow BitDefender 2011 – Installation and Patching Instructions:

Though the procedures are stated within the patch (click the “Read Me” button) and which you must read carefully and strictly follow before applying the patch, I have adapted and rephrased them for your easiest understanding as follows:

Quote:

Installation and Patching Instructions for BitDefender 2011 Products:

1. Install your chosen BitDefender 2011 product using preferably the installer downloaded from the appropriate BitDefender direct links indicated above. During installation process:

Quote:
a) Two checkboxes will appear saying “I want to evaluate BD for 30 days” or “I want to register BD with licence key”, choose “I want to evaluate BD for 30 days”.

b) You will be required to sign into a previous account or to create a new one, select “Create New Account” and simply type any fake e-mail format, such as (don’t use exactly this, it’s just a sample, there have been reports that BitDefender servers is rejecting it)

Code:
doe@mail.com

and a password (such as ABCD1234).

c) Then, a new window will appear where BitDefender will ask you if you would like to be informed about special offers and promotions using the e-mail address of your account. Since you are entering a fake data, select the option “Do not send me any messages” and click “Submit” to complete the installation process.

After installation has finished DO NOT RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.

2. Download to your Desktop the Patch by BOX 3.1 from any of the above mentioned links.

If you cannot download the Patch by BOX 3.1 because BitDefender 2011 is blocking or deleting it, then proceed as follows:

Quote:
a) Firstly set your BitDefender 2011 in “Expert Mode” by clicking the “Settings” button located at the top right of BitDefender window.

b) Now click the “Antivirus” Tab => In the “Shield” tab, untick “Real-time protection is enabled”, a warning window will appear. Leave it in 5 (five) minutes and click “OK”. Now download the patch by BOX 3.1 from any of above links and once you have finished said task, restart your PC in “Safe Mode” to run and apply the patch in said mode.

3. Restart your computer but boot it into Safe Mode (F8) using an account with Administrator’s rights. To boot in Safe Mode in Windows XP, Vista or 7 proceed as follows:

Quote:
a) Restart the computer. Immediately after the screen goes blank for the first time, or after the BIOS post ends, start taping the F8 key repeatedly.

b) The Windows Advanced Options menu appears on a black screen.

c) Choose “Safe Mode” and press ENTER.

d) Log onto your account which should have Administrator’s rights or onto the Administrator’s account. If a password was never set, leave the password blank and press “Enter” and after a while you are under Windows Safe Mode GUI.

(If BitDefender 2011 has already been installed, then see Note A below.)

4. Once in Windows Safe Mode, open the file “Box_BD2011_3.1.rar” located in your Desktop and extract the Patch (“Box_BD2011.exe”) to said place. Double click the Patch to run it and execute it by clicking the “Year 2045” button or, in case you have not disabled UAC, right click on “Box_BD2011.exe” and choose “Run as Administrator” and then proceed as indicated. When patching has been finished a small window will pop-up telling you that the patching was successful. Now it is suggested that the patch be deleted because it will be detected as a virus/trojan by BitDefender, however IT IS WORTH MENTIONING THAT THE PATCH 3.1 BY BOX IS SAFE AND CLEAN. Such possible circumstance is called “FALSE POSITIVE”. For an additional information regarding this issue, please refer to this link:

Code:
http://www.warez-bb.org/viewtopic.php?p=41742819#41742819

5. Now restart your PC in Windows Normal Mode.

6. Open Bitdefender GUI, click the “Registration” tab and in the “Registration Information” area check that your BitDefender 2011 product expires in about 13000 days.

7. Adjust your BitDefender 2011 product settings, update it and you are done. Afterwards and at your convenience, you may conduct a full scan of your computer but bear in mind that for a not newly formated PC the scanning may take a long time.

8. You may re-enable UAC if you so wish it.

9. If at a later stage you want to remove the effects of the Patch from your Bitdefender 2011 product, simply run again the Patch by BOX in Windows Normal Mode and click the “Uninstall” button. Said manoeuvre will convert the BitDefender 2011 product back to a 30-day trial version.

10. If for any reason you want to uninstall BitDefender, first you must eliminate the effects of the Patch. To that end, run the Patch in Windows Normal Mode and click the “Uninstall” button. When indicated by the Patch, restart the computer in Windows Normal Mode and try to update BitDefender and a window will pop-up advising you that BitDefender has reverted to Trial and now proceed to uninstall BitDefender. If you don’t proceed as above, BitDefender will generate a bug report which nevertheless will not affect your PC at all, but most important, BitDefender will not allow you any future reinstallation by telling you that you are no longer able to evaluate the product because you have used up all the evaluation time. To solve said problem, please contact me through this post and I will guide you how to remedy the issue at stake.

NOTE A: If any BitDefender 2011 product is already installed and registered with a valid key or with a key that has expired or that it is shown as invalid and you want to patch it to have it registered again or for a longer period of time, you have to restart your computer in Windows Safe Mode (F8) and then run the Patch using an account with Administrator’s rights and click the “Year 2045” button. Once patching has been finished you have to restart your PC in Windows Normal Mode and you are done.

NOTE B: When you have applied the Patch to BD Total Security, the Online Backup feature does not work because you don’t have and/or cannot create an account at BitDefender website.

by BOX (Adapted and rephrased by Polylak)

Fully tested, working and updateable until year 2045!!!

BITDEFENDER TOOLS

Arrow BitDefender Emergency Rescue CD:

BitDefender Rescue CD (Freeware) is capable to scan and disinfect all existing hard drives before your operating system starts.

You should use BitDefender Rescue CD any time your operating system is not working properly because of virus infections. That usually happens when you don’t use properly your antivirus product or it is not adequately configured.

The update of the virus signatures is made automatically, without user intervention each time you start the BitDefender Rescue CD and there is an available Internet connection.

BitDefender Rescue CD is a BitDefender re-mastered Kubuntu distribution, which integrates the latest BitDefender for Linux security solution into the GNU/Linux Kubuntu Live CD, offering a desktop antivirus which can scan and disinfect existing hard drives (including Windows NTFS partitions). It doesn’t require a key or registration to use it.

At the same time, BitDefender Rescue CD can be used to restore your valuable data when you cannot boot Windows. You can also save files to your pendrive with this CD. However when you use a pendrive it’s advisable to use an empty one because there is a high chance that it may corrupt your existing files in the pendrive because the Rescue CD is based on a Linux distribution.

PS: I have tested it in many PCs and it doesn’t work in all of them. This is mainly due to the Linux Video Card drivers: at the very end of the booting process you are stuck at a black screen. However it’s worth trying it before you are in need of the BitDefender Rescue CD.

Arrow BitDefender USB Immunizer:

Current version: 1.2.0.1

For years, Autorun-based malware has been atop of the worldwide e-threat landscape, with notorious representatives such as Trojan.AutorunInf, the Conficker worm (Win32.Worm.Downadup) or Worm.Autorun.VHD.

The USB Immunizer (Freeware) is BitDefender’s response to this growing issue. This small utility is divided in two sections.

The Immunize option allows you to immunize your USB storage device or SD card against infections with autorun-based malware. Even if your storage device has been plugged into an infected computer, the piece of malware will be unable to create its autorun.inf file, thus annihilating any chance of auto-launching itself.

The Immunize Computer slider allows you to toggle the autorun feature On or Off for any removable media (except for CD/DVD-ROM devices). If you accidentally plug in an infected USB drive that has not been immunized, the computer will not auto-execute the piece of malware located on the USB storage device.

Limitations: Runs advertisements for Bitdefender products. Asks for your email on exit for their mailing list. Both can be ignored.
